John Roper

John Roper writes in Wilmington, North Carolina after a career of teaching social studies and coaching Cross Country and Track in Fairfield, Connecticut . He has co-authored a book on teaching Connecticut history, published by Yale University, co-authored Reflections of Life, and Memories of Life and written Love that Moves the Sun and Other Stars. He is currently working on a historical fiction set in Europe, America, and China in the 1930s and 40s.

I thoroughly enjoyed Love That Moves the
Sun and the Other Stars, The theme of personal growth is skillfully interlaced with young love, new adventures, heart warming emotions, compassion, loss, and the strength to persevere. Excellent prose, sentence structure and grammar.
Additiional characters were introduced easily with informative background. The cover is beautiful and the pages are of high quality paper. I highly recommend this book!

The reading ages of 15-18 is perfect and is a messages everyone, but especially that age range, need in their lives. It is really fun to read especially if you have ever visited Wrightsville Beach as you will recognize local spots described!

This novel is packed with surprises and kept my attention from beginning to end with its humor, emotion and intricate story line.
